  • 1.  Setup Auto Locate in Maximo 7.6.1.2 Spatial

    Does anyone have a link or guide to setting up Maximo to Auto Locate things on a Map.

    This link that is the guide by IBM  (IBM Website seems to be having problems this morning as their various support pages are dead links btw)

    Is terrible at guiding us how to get this functionality working.

    We are working with a DEMODB OOTB from Maximo. Map manager is using the LBS_DEMO.

    I have service address info setup with LAT/LONG and if I associate that SA to a asset and open that record it still goes to Naperville on Map and not the location I setup on a SA.

    I need better documentation on setting this up and getting it working to zoom to the location of my record when I go to the Map Tab in the Asset Application.

    Please help..

    So IBM website is working better today.. We now have this guidance that I could not get to yesterday (thanks IBM)

    "Before using the auto create, it is necessary to configure a work order or service request GIS Maximo Business Object, and include it in the Auto Create section inside the Advanced Settings of Map Manager. The automation scripts will be provided in JavaScript and Python and are be disabled by default."

    Automatic location of map features

     
    The auto scripts are only for WO & SR. How do we get them for ASSET and LOCATIONS? Also its really vague what do I do to setup an Object Structure ("GIS Maximo Business Object")  And what do we do specifically on that Advanced Tab in Map Manager... This guide is terrible and not really a HOW-TO.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    He is a Product Manager at IBM with lots of experience in Spatial so he might be able to point you to more documentation resources.
