  • 1.  Tools for Maximo Administrators?

    I'm curious what tools other consultants or admins use for typical Maximo admin tasks. I'm thinking of software tools for things like interacting with APIs, monitoring log files, accessing the database, etc. Here's my current list, but I'd love to add to it.

    Your list are almost the same as mine. Mine are:
    1. Oralce SQL Developer for accessing DB
    2. Baretail for web application server logs
    3. Postman for develop and test API
    4. Excel and Power BI for automation extracting data through JSON REST API to perform business analyst and to build dashboard chart.
    5. VS Code IDE for automation scripts
    6. Famous MXLoader from Bruno for loading bulk data.

    I agree with Excel and VS Code for sure. I use Excel if I'm either doing some quick analysis or mocking up a report design with calculations. Power BI is on the ever-growing list of things I want to master. I use VS Code for other projects, not typically for automation scripts... Which language are you typically using?

    MXLoader is definitely something to keep in the back pocket as well. I don't use it frequently, but on occasion it's by far the easiest way to get something done.

    I used VS Code for doing MBO customization before, but now I rarely do cause Automation Scripts mostly can do the job well. I am learning some DART code with Flutter for mobile development so recently I switch from VS Code to Android Studio.
