    Duplicate post after changing the type of discussion.

    We are facing an critical issue in our production env . Scenario is like this: When user is adding actual material , MXRowUpdateException error is encountered. From the sql debug logs on workorder, we got that two Update statements are being triggered right after adding Atcual Mat on the workorder. where the second update statement is trying to update WORKPACKMTLSTATUS =COMP . As per my knowledge , WORKPACKMTLSTATUS field will be updated on approval of work order right? But we couldn't get to some conclusion in our case how this is being triggered for few of the workorders and it is impacting our users work. Kindly post this on your forum, Any hep would be useful for us.

    Hi,

    There are crontask to update the material status fields on a work order available in Maximo, Did you check if that cron is active and updating the field. For troubleshooting, you can disable the cron and then see if this issue is happening.
    Did you check if there is no custom escalation triggering the update?

    ​Yes the cron task WOMaterialStatusUpdateCronTask is active and running for every 4 hours.
    As we are unable to replicate the issue in lower environments where this cron task is active we are not sure if disabling this in production will help in troubleshooting.
    Also InvResRestypeUpdateCronTask is also active and is running at every 1 hour.
    Reg: custom escalation to trigger the update, I confirm that we didn't setup such kind of escalation in our environments.

    Hey @Meghana Siriveli

    If you are not able to replicate the issue in lower enviroments then it is for sure becuase of some modification happened on Production and not a product bug.

    Is there a recent change migrated/done on Production? Do you have any work order scripts related to Work Order or related tables. If yes then can you try disabling them and enabling them one by one during off-user working hours?
