  • 1.  Maximo KPI - create escalation for communications

    My team is building some KPIs in Maximo and we want to create regular (usually monthly) communications for those KPIs.   Is an Escalation with Comm Template the best way to go?  I've created Comm Templates in Maximo before never an Escalation by myself.   How do you get an Escalation to reference a KPI?  There are several KPI-related objects in Maximo from the looks of it.

    Ryan,

    I think we need a little more information. KPI's run via Cron Task, so if you schedule them daily, or even monthly, they will run on that schedule, create a historical data point for later trending, and be available via the start center, or KPI applications depending on how you want to deliver.

    I have KPIs that show Asset levels and a count of how many work orders are associated with them (ex. 30 days).  I would to have an automatic email communication sent to certain users (or Groups) every 30 days with a summary of the KPI itself.  Does the KPI Manager do this automatically, or do I need a Comm Template and Escalation?
