ticketspecs values not getting copied over to WorkorderSpecs values when Work Order is created using createWorkOrder select action option

    Hi All,

We were trying to create a Workorder from an SR record using Create WorkOrder select action option, Before doing this we were giving relevant values to SR specifications and saving the SR record.

When Work Order is created, WO had specifications lines created but the values were not copied from SR spec values, instead they are just blank.

We have observed this is happening for few of the classifications and jobplan combo .That Jobplan has no specs defined on it.

There is no customization made around this functionality.

Can any one here help me finding what might be responsible for this?

    Thanks

    Hi Meghana

    I've just completed the following:
    1. Created a new classification with 2 attributes
    2. Defined that it can be used for the SR, Work order and Job plan
    3. Created a new SR using the classification
    4. Updated the specification values
    5. Created a Work order from the SR
          It worked perfectly.

So, my thought is that it should not be some classification do, others don't. That should not be possible.

Please have a look at two things:
    1. That the Use With Objects is set correctly. That is lists all the object that you intend to the classification in.
    2. That, in the Attribute section, for each, Use With Object Detail all the objects are listed there and Use In Specifications?
       is enabled.

I'm having the same issue as Meghana.  In the Classifications app, I verified that SR and WORKORDER are included in the Use with Objects section, that both objects have the same attributes, and Use in Specifications is checked for each of the attributes.  But while the attributes are copied, the attribute value  does get copied from the SR specifications to the workorder specification.  Are there any required relationship that could be missing?
