MxLoader

Hello all,

MAS 9.0.174

I would like to delete all Meter Readings (Asset Meter Readings) from a DEV environment using MxLoader so I can then import a file containing the latest feed of a total list of meter readings for all assets as an exercise in preparation of Go-Live where Maximo is replacing a legacy system.

Right now when using an MxLoader template using

Object Structure: User Defined (very basic using the METERREADING object as the Source and given full authorization to MaxAdmin Group)

For Object METERREADING

I am getting a BMX error:  "BMXAA2870E - A Reading can only be deleted through the DeployedMeter for which it was created providading for the DeployedMeter"

Does anyone have a procedure whereby I can safely delete all the rows in METERREADING and maintain system integrity of the MBO's?

There's a system property (mxe.int.deletereading) that if enabled, should let you delete from the MIF. I'm not a fan of doing something that Maximo won't normally let you do in the UI but for a non-production scenario, it's less concerning.

I agree that I don't like changing default settings for fear of corrupting the database.  I looked for that settings inside the GUI but did not see it.

Regardless, I would prefer to follow a process using MxLoader to delete these Meter Readings so I can load a clean slate without creating weird records that look like rollovers or Initial readings when not the case.

If your system doesn't have it, you can create it in the system properties application.

Name: mxe.int.deletereading
Description: Allow to delete meter readings
Value: 1
Data Type: YORN

Save and live refresh. I confirmed it is checked in 7.6.1.3 and MAS. And should work with MXLoader
