MSCM partnered with IBM for our first webinar, and it was also the first real step in something bigger we have been working toward.
Taking MSCM from an annual conference to a year round community for the MRO supply chain side of IBM Maximo Asset Management.
For the first session, IBM's Dylan Jones joined us to talk about a problem almost every inventory team can relate to: relying on spreadsheets, static min/max levels, and gut instinct to make stocking decisions.
He walked through how IBM Maximo Inventory Optimization can help teams use demand, criticality, lead time, and cost to make better decisions around what to stock and how much.

And this is really where we want to take MSCM.
The conference is still a big part of it, but the goal is to keep the conversation going all year through webinars, research, benchmarking, practical resources, and opportunities for people working in procurement, inventory, materials management, and storerooms to learn from each other.
There are already great communities around Maximo. We want MSCM to complement them by giving the MRO supply chain side its own dedicated home.
