New to the forum, thanks for having me.

Just reaching out for any guidance on what might be the reason for receiving this error when attempting an Asset transfer between storerooms.

All online searches did not return any helpful information.

BMXAA7691E - The status of inventory usage 24255 cannot be changed to COMPLETE.

Hi,
It is very difficult to identify what is the error without looking at the actual transaction. Can you share screenshot of what exactly are you passing in different fields?

Also, you can enable debug logs from Logger application for Inventory Usage and try to see what logs it is writing when you are getting this error.
