Hi All,

We are right now in the phase of upgrading Maximo from version 7.6.0.4 to 7.6.2.1 as well as the implementation of the Maximo Anywhere 7.6.4 solution.We just would like to get inputs if it will be a better idea to use a single app,that is Maximo Work Execution for all the work execution and approval processes or it is better to use the Work execute app for the execution and Work Approval for the approvals.

The reason we are asking this question is because the engineering managers will have to use 2 different applications and their role is only to approve the work order and if the same customization can be done to display the work execute app separately for the technicians and the managers,we feel there will be a uniformity in the application usage.

If there is any suggestions with the best usage as per the functionality,it will be greatly appreciated.

Personally, I'd suggest just utilizing Work Execution and building a query that you assign to the approvers for them to find and approve the work. Unless there's some privileged information that you need to surface (cost information for example), there's not a need for it to be a separate app.
