Custom Attribute Not Showing in Asset Lookup (Select Value) in Application Designer from Work Order

    Hello everyone,

I'm having an issue with a custom attribute that I added to the ASSET object. I want this attribute to be visible in the Select Value (Lookup) dialog when choosing an asset from the Work Order Tracking application - specifically for a custom field called Asset (Substation).

Here's what I've done so far:

    • Created a custom attribute in the ASSET object and verified it is persistent, user-defined, and has a value.

    • Added the field to the Asset application - it shows up correctly there.

    • Added a crossover domain to copy the value from ASSET to WORKORDER (working fine).

Edited the lookup dialog lookup_wo_asset in Application Designer:

Opened the dialog used when clicking the arrow on Asset (Nenstacion).

      • Added a new column to the table with:

        • Attribute: EMRINENSTACIONIT

        • Type: Text or Link

        • Checked Sortable, Show Filter.

      • Saved everything.

THE PROBLEM: Even though the column appears in Application Designer, when I go to Work Order Tracking > click on Select Value (lookup) on Asset (Substation), the column does not appear in the lookup grid.

Any ideas what could be causing the column to not appear at runtime despite showing up in Application Designer?
Could it be a data source issue, or something else I'm missing?

    Thank you πŸ™

Have you confirmed the lookup referenced on your input is this lookup_wo_asset in Application Designer? Normally the asset lookup utilized is "asset" not "lookup_wo_asset", but it can be configured.

Assuming lookup_wo_asset is correct, and you've switched to an alternate application (such as the Start Center) and back in after making the change in Application Designer, then I would look at how your tablecol is defined to ensure you don't have a signature option (sigoption="") set on the column. This is a mechanism that can be used to hide columns.

If you still see the issue, please post the screenshot of WO tracking application.

    Thanks you
