  • 1.  How to prepopulate field with logged in userID

    Posted 05-22-2024 09:17

    Hi All,

I'm hoping this is an easy question. We've done a fair amount of Googling and can't seem to find a solution.

We're trying to prepopulate the Labtrans.Laborcode field in the Employee Time Reporting (Emptime) app. We were leaning towards scripting but found nothing that worked or worked well.

Has anyone tried this? If so, what was your solution?

    Thanks in advance.

    Rob

    Hi Rob

If you're using the same ID for the laborcode as for the personID or userID, then you can &PERSONID& in the default, but if they are not, then you will have to use an automation script as the PERSONID is at system level whereas LABORCODE is at ORG level.  BTW: I'm assuming that you EmpTime app is a clone of the Labor Report app.

    Hi There

You can set the value at attribute level in database configuration using default Value &:USER& or &:PERIOND&
