    Is it possible with maximo direct print to print a PDF that has been marked up and see the details highlighted.

    Not very sure about your exact requirement. 

    You will do bluebeam or any other kind of markup on PDF outside of Maximo, say for example there is a manual and you have done markup there, then you can add that with desired record in Maximo as attachment. And then you can develop report in BIRT which also print that attachment which is markup. This report can be configured for direct print as well in Maximo.

    If this doesn't fulfill your requirement then can you elaborate on the use case?

    We have the report configured in birt to print the report but when we print the PDF with the Markup we get the PDF but not the Markup.    

    Its like birt doesnt know about the option to print with markup and I cant see a way of telling it to print with it 

    If you print direct from a PDF that is marked up, you get this option
