Hi Bill,
We are neighbors. I'm in Kalamazoo, MI. Yes you can use the Scheduled Start Date in your search criteria to find work orders assigned on specific days. The Scheduled Start is actually a field on the main List screen in Work Order Tracking. Fun trick, you can type today in that field to find work orders assigned today. You can create fancy saved searches today with dynamic date ranges, e.g. show me all work orders where I am the lead that has a Scheduled Start Date for the next week.
If you ever have any advanced assignment options, e.g. you want to assign more than one person to the same work order, you can look at the Assignment tab too instead of the Lead field.

We typically use the Lead field to assign work orders to the crew. If the scheduled start field is filled out, would that then give the user the option of searching the date and seeing what work orders are scheduled for that day?

Do you currently use the Scheduled Start date field? If not, that is the best use of that field as it provides all of the appropriate parties (operations, maintenance, warehouse, etc.) notification as to when activities will occur?
Do you currently use the Lead field or the Owner field to make the assignment?

Good Afternoon,
Is there a way to assign a work order to a staff member for a specific day? For example, if i know i want someone to work on a specific item on next week Thursday, is there a way to assign it for that specific day?
