  • 1.  PM "View Status History" Option possible?

    Posted 02-27-2024 12:38

    Hello all :),

Is it possible to add a button to the sidebar of the PM application to "View Status History" like is in Job Plans?

I didn't know if this might be an out-of-the-box option that got deleted from our PM application.

    Thank you

    Hello MORE Maximo Community,

I wanted to follow up and see if anyone would have an idea on how to accomplish this?  It came up again today.  A PM was changed to INACTIVE but we have no way to check who made the change or when it was made.

Edit Update:  I found this thread so I will dig into this option: https://moremaximo.com/communities/community-home/digestviewer/viewthread?MessageKey=206fec15-6f3d-4d5f-b4f1-743591a5672c&CommunityKey=784e8753-d7af-4281-8463-e86f3b5d7076

    Thank you :)

    Hi Daniel!

It happens that there is no table that stores the state changes of the PMs and that is why it is not possible to make a function that shows them to you, because they are not stored.

Now, what I'm going to give you is an idea but moving forward. You can activate auditing of the PM object, and after applying the changes, enable auditing of the PM.STATUS field so that from that moment on, you can know who and when modified the status of the PM.

Now, I have seen that there is a non-persistent object PMSTATUSDUMMY managed by the java class psdi.app.pm.virtual.PMStatusDummySet. In PM.PMSTATUSDUMMY it says that it is a relation to the object (PMSTATUSDUMMY) that allows you to see the PM states. I have tried to do it but I haven't been able to. You could try to give it as a task to a programmer if there is a way through said class to get the different states of a PM. I suggest it because the description says it works for that. Regards!

We do have auditing turned on for selected PM changes and we (our I.T. lead) has added a new tab on the PM application showing Status Change History - so it can be done, but maybe not as a menu item.
