Hi,

We have few specific workorders generated from PM manually  , where PM GL Account is null, Asset tied tied to it ha s a null glaccount. But PM has a location for which glaccount is not null. When workorders are generated only for specific ones with same PM, location is populated but not associated glaccount.. Please advise.

Ideally Maximo tries to derive the GL from PM, Asset and Locations. If GL account is null in PM and asset , then Maximo must have derived it from Location's GL account field as it is not null.

If it's not happening, that means some process is clearing out the field value after the GL population in workorder.gl field. so you need to verify whether there is any custom code or automation in your system which is nullifying the field.

Thank You Sekhar,  verified ,there is no glaccount on PM or asset, locations has one tied to it, but it was not bringing over . Made sure , there is no custom code or automation script behind the scenes , was trying to see if there is any Business logic as per out of box functionality ,  where it would nullify the workorder.gl field.

Hi Kalpana,

If you have access to maximo logs, i will suggest you to set the sql logger to INFO(in lower env) and to monitor what exactly is happening when the PM generates the WO. You should get some clue there in the logs regarding the GL account field.
