Hi Shannon,
The webservice call will become asynchronous once you uncheck that checkbox.
Asynchronous means the external system establishes and maintains a connection until the message is passed into a JMS queue.

Hi Subhransu - thanks for confirming - this is going to make my day! Lol.
There are no other consequences to setting the Bypass Queue to 0, correct?

Hi Shannon,
This works when webservices are using queues. Yes, you will get POs that maximo failed to Process and the payload.
- Enable message Tracking in enterprise Service application, for your PO enterprise service
- Click on "Store Message"
- You can also provide a Search ID (like ponum) for better tracking of your message.
- Ensure "Bypass Queue" has been unchecked for the Web services.
Good Day.

Subject: Adding Message Tracking for Web Services Incoming Interface
Hi guys: I've been trying to add Message Tracking for an incoming Web Services PO interface from the financial system. We have it turned on for the Enterprise Service, but we're not getting any data. On looking at the IBM KB, I notice this article: Enabling Message Tracking for incoming Web Service calls
Ibm | remove preview |
| Enabling Message Tracking for incoming Web Service calls | How to track incoming Web Service calls | View this on Ibm > |
|
|
So I can make this change, but I'm wondering whether this update would have other consequences. Does anyone know?
Also: what I REALLY want to catch are those POs that Maximo failed to process, and the ideal situation is that Maximo stores the payload for the failed PO messages. Can anyone verify that once I enable this functionality, I will be able to do that?
TIA
