Prevent Parent Work Order to status 'COMP' or 'CLOSE' with Open Children

I have 4 reports in v7.6.1.1 that I cannot cancel. I hit the trash can button last week, hit the refresh button several times, and they are still there. Can someone provide steps on how to kill these reports once and for all?
