Hi Rob - I did not complete the configuration, but I do think this should be possible. Regarding the status of this as a "back end job", I'll let you make the call on my approach (or perhaps, there's a simpler way that I'm unaware of).
My approach to do confirm:
- Go to Application Designer
- Open the Asset Template application (PLUSCTMPLT)
- Modify the dialog for: pluscselectassets to add your new column for Location (Note: This could be done via XML or through the UI, depending on your comfort/preference)
- Save the application XML
If you go the XML route, I'd think adding something like this should work, right after the Asset # column: <tablecol dataattribute="location" id="pluscselectassets_tablebody_2a"/>
