Goal - to display a number of days to expire on a communication template (email message) based on a date field in an MBO. 

I am able to do this in an Escalation like this - DATEDIFF(DAY, GETDATE(), <mbo-date-field>).

I examined all third party "guides" and browsed thru all Maximo OOTB formulas but no luck. 

I decided to then use Maximo Formula Function INVOKESCRIPT to come up with an automation script so I can set a non-persistent attribute on the same MBO as the date field.  However, I am unable to find any IBM documentation that explains how to do this; there are many third-party guides on Formulas but unfortunately do not explain INVOKESCRIPT or how to calculate DATE DIFF.
