Hi @Martin Fabra
I've followed a similar approach by creating characteristic measurements where I added domains and domain values. These were included in an inspection form using the Single Choice Domain. However, I ran into an issue where the domain values are not appearing when trying to preview or conduct the inspection form.
This issue started after migrating the Production environment to UAT. Previously, everything worked perfectly in UAT, but now the Single Choice Domain and Multiple Choice Domain values are missing in the inspection form.
I've already checked:
- The domain and its values in the Domains application – everything seems fine.
- The inspection form configuration – the domain is correctly associated.
- Permissions and security groups – no discrepancies identified.
- Cache – cleared and restarted Maximo.
Despite this, the values still don't appear in the inspection form. Do you have any ideas on what else I might need to check? I'm completely out of ideas at this point.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi @mareihan basem!
Do you call an attribute an aspect that you want to measure and that if the reading is bad, it generates a WO? Would it be... a measurable aspect?
You need to have a meter. This meter can assume defined values from a list (Associated Domain) when the meter is of type CHARACTERISTIC. It can be a "GAUGE" type meter to measure values and then, when the reading goes off scale, demand the corrective WO. We are going with a characteristics meter, although in both the process is the same.
1) Assets - Meters
2) You must associate this meter with an asset or location (within the asset or location, in the Meters tab)
3) In Assets - Condition Monitoring, you must create the rule that will analyze the measurement and create the WO. You define the measurement point, the asset or location and the associated meter. The next section of that application is to record limit values when the meter is GAUGE. But in our example, we must go to "Characteristic Action Values" and define the value that will trigger the creation of the corrective WO, that is, the bad reading. You define a PM or Maintenance Plan.
4 - Then, all that remains is to record the reading for that asset/location with that meter. It does this from an OT or from the asset itself. You log the "bad" reading and Maximo will create the WO.
Now, when will you create the WO? There is a crontask "MeasurePointWoGenCronTask". Verify that it is active and analyze how it is programmed. When said CRON is executed, it will create the WO.
Regards!
