Service Request Application, Preserve Owner Group when selecting Owner on Service Request Application

I am working in Maximo 7.6. On the Service Request Application (-> Service Request Tab), we have two attributes [Owner and Owner Group]. Under Common Actions -> Select Owner. When a “Owner” is selected, the “Owner Group” becomes blank. Similarly, when an “Owner Group” is selected, the “Owner” becomes blank. Is there a way to preserve “Owner” when “Owner Group” is selected? And is there a way to keep “Owner Group” when “Owner” is selected? Any help or insight provided would be greatly appreciated.

Hi. Yes, but you must make a custom. We use a CUSTOM that works so that every register has an ownership group and when a member takes ownership, the owner is associated but also maintains the ownership group (both). Maximo allows only one member of that ownership group to take ownership. Then, only that owner is the one who can modify data in that record, but it always maintains the possibility that another member of that group takes ownership (this is allowed in case the owner is not available and someone else can replace him). The owner is also allowed to refer it to another group and whenever this happens, the other group receives it with the owner field empty. The derivations here are made naturally but with this CUSTOM. When I started working here, they already had it implemented, but if you are interested, I can try to find out how it works.
