Webpage URL Attachments

First, thanks for all the great information.

Can anyone direct me to instructions on how to add Webpage URL attachments to job plans? I am under the impression external URL attachments can be added to job plans allowing them to be updated remotely as an attachment and not need to update the job plan tasks specifically. We use the j/p's primarily as instruction rather than hour or spare parts tracking. Each time a change is made to the process, the job plan has to be revised. Just updating an attachment stored on a SharePoint seems more efficient.

Answer

On the Job Plans application, click the Attachments paper clip. Then, select Add New Attachements >> Add New Web Page. You can add the URL there along with a file name and description.

It's a good idea to let your SharePoint Administrator know you are building these links so they know to coordinate with you if they move the SharePoint site. If the site moves, you will need to update your DOCLINKS.URLNAME values to the new path.
