In the PR application>pr lines there is a block called 'Copy to RFQ'

What does this block do when checked ?

Hi !

When you put the check into the box 'Copy to RFQ' Maximo don't allow you to create a PO directly. If you try pressing "Create PO" you are going to see a message "All prline have been asigned" and you are going to have to create an RFQ and then create a PO.

Hi Jeffery,

I want to add a little more to this.  What Martian has said is correct, however, let's expand it further.

  1. The options "Copy to RFQ?" or "Copy to Contract?" prevent the user from adding these lines directly to a PO and must instead be created in those other applications.
  2. If your PR contains a mix of lines that have "Copy to RFQ?" or "Copy to Contract?" or neither, you can still use the "Create PO" and only those lines marked with neither will create a PO (providing they have not already been copied already), leaving the other lines alone i.e. they do not automatically generate an RFQ or Contract.
  3. If your PR contains a mix of lines that have "Copy to RFQ?" or "Copy to Contract?" or neither, you can still use the "Create Contract" and only those lines not marked with "Copy to RFQ" will create a contract (providing they have not already been copied already), leaving the other lines alone i.e. they do not automatically generate an RFQ or Contract.
  4. You can create a PO or Contract from the PR, but not an RFQ.
  5. You can add all line types to an RFQ provided they have not already been copied to a Contract or PO.

Hi Craig,

Thanks for the expanded explanation! That will help me develop a good site process for PR management.
