    Hi all

I'm struggling to understand where I'm going wrong with file attachments. I've successfully uploaded documents against Work Orders with MxLoader (7.5.2) but then found to my amazement that the document attachments are useless because they become unrecognisable files in Maximo and therefore cannot be opened. The document looks like this in Maximo after upload:

On the surface, everything appears normal, but when I click on any document, it downloads and looks not like the original document but like this:

When I attach the same document manually from the front end, it opens like the original document.

Does anyone know where it's going wrong?

    Thanks

    Yinka

    Hi,
version 7.5.2 is really old. Please download the latest version and try again.
Here are few links to check to understand how to do it right:

    Hi Bruno

Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to respond. We hope to migrate to across newer loader version soon.

In the meantime, I'm not entirely convinced that the issue we're having can be solved by using newer loader versions (I stand corrected). My assertion is based on the fact the new version will still use the same object structure and same load data.

Since my original post, I've managed to get past some of the issues: the documents are now being loaded correctly and as recognisable document types: .doc, .pdf, etc.

The issue now is that when trying to open the document in the above screenshot, MS Word is showing the following:

This suggests that the Word document is corrupt. When I manually attach the same document from the front end, then it can be opened without any issue.

And the same thing is happening with all document types from URLs: .pdf error:

Anyone has any ideas what's going on here?

Thank you all for your time.

    Yinka
