MxLoader

Hi All,

We are currently implementing TLS1.3 to be used exclusively in our Maximo environments (so it will not allow fallback to TLS1.2).

We have a Dev environment that uses Native Login

We also have a training environment that uses SAML SSO

When we implement TLS1.3 and disallow fallback to TLS1.2 MxLoader fails to connect and throws the below error:

Error code: 2147954429

Source: msxml6.dll

Description: A connection with the server could not be established

I guess my question is does MxLoader support a TLS1.3 only configuration?

I've hunted the internet high and low trying to solve and have not had any success. Has anyone else seen this error or succeeded with MxLoader using TLS1.3?

Hi All,

Just to ensure I don't cause any confusion, I can confirm that MxLoader does indeed work on a TLS1.3 only environment. We have made progress and have narrowed it down to Win10 OS throwing the error with MxLoader but works fine in Win11.

Given that our organisation does not have any current plans to move to Win11 if anyone can offer any insight into this it would be most welcome.
