Hi Maximo Community,

I'm currently working on a project involving the integration of IBM Maximo with an external system called Mpower. The primary objective is for Maximo to automatically generate the Mpower Registration Number (analogous to how Maximo auto-generates the Work Order number when a new Work Order is created), and ensure it's stored and visible in Maximo. This is important for reference and traceability between the two systems. Each Work Order should be populated with relevant details from the Mpower case such as Load Enhancement Material, Inspection and connecting the installed cabin, attached files for that Mpower Registration Number etc.

Any input or guidance based on your experience with similar integrations (Maximo to external case/asset/incident systems) would be greatly appreciated. If you've implemented something similar, I'd love to hear how you approached it - especially around custom field generation and automation scripting.
