 How do I add a new worktype or de-activate an unwanted one?

Hey all - We have an obsolete worktype in our work order tracking application that I don't want to be available any more for lookup or manual entry when creating a work order. Does anyone have directions on how do to that?

I'd also be interested in the steps to add a new worktype.

We're running Maximo 7.6.1.2.

Hello @Amy Tellier-Briggs.  

You can perform the change by:

  1. Going to the Organizations application
  2. Under More Actions in the left column click on "Work Order Options"
  3. Then click on "Work Type"
  4. Here you can delete Work Types or click on "New Row" to add new ones.
