We are requested in our contract the calculate the material availability KPI from the Maximo records.
As per our current Work Order workflow and Inventory process in Maximo, the technician is requested to change the status of the work order to WMATL and enters UPDATE worklog. Separately, as part of the inventory process the technician can create material requisition against work order (WONUM is mandatory) and from the storeroom (the storeroom is mandatory) in the MRLINEs.
Without changing the work order workflow, what is the best practice to record the current balance of the needed materials, the requested materials after saving the work order to the new status WMATL.
So by the end of the month, the material availability data will be available for KPI calculation (available balance against requested material for all WMATL work orders).
