 No Start Centre Records; No Access to Add

Hi Folks

We have a clean install of MAS 8.x on IBM Managed Service. We are in the process of building a solution. There are no Start Centres in this build. We have Maxadmin access and have provided Maxadmin security group with "Access All Areas", however, there is no tool bar to create a new Start Centre. The circular arrow to Refresh / Update Start Centre is available, but no add / edit, etc. 

If we attempt to add a Start Centre to a security group, there are no records. I surmise that this is our problem and we need at least one record so that the tool bar is visible in the Start Centre (Home) screen. 

Does anyone please have any guidance on adding a Start Centre template, or could we have over-cooked the security group be giving blanket all access to Maxadmin?

Hi Folks

I have solved this issue by thoroughly reading IBM documentation instead of skimming it. The answer is in IBM support:

Specifically a note that says:

"For the Layout and Configuration application, make sure that the option Can Create Template is checked."

after it lists the applications to which the security group will need at least read access.

So, problem solved by just paying attention to the words on the page.... : )
