I am looking for a Use case where I can generate Barcodes, When a report generated from Maximo.

Hi Shaik, we generate the purchase order number in a barcode on our receiving worksheets. This saves time and improves accuracy for the receivers when they enter the purchase order number.

Hi Shaik, we generate a barcode for the workorder number on the workorder printout.  You want your query to include a field specially for the barcode like using the formatting '*'+workorder.wonum+'*'  in the select statement, then use a barcode font in the layout to print the barcode on your report.

I use them:

1) On the Work Order Details report, converting the WONUM to a Code 128 barcode.  This is from well before we tried to do anything with Maximo on a mobile device, so we had to print out work orders.

2) For creating labels for warehouse bins.  We put a barcode of the ITEMNUM on the bin.

3) For receiving, we have a sticker we print out that contains the ITEMNUM, Description, and Bin Number.  The ITEMNUM is barcoded (and regular human-readable).

4) We put a barcode on many of our tools (barcoding the ITEMNUM/TOOLNUM).

5) We've put barcodes on many of our Assets, to help field techs add the ASSETNUM to Work Orders.
