    Hi,

    Does anyone know of a way to configure Maximo to crossover a work log added to the PM application to the Work Order application when a work order is generated from the PM?

    Just checking: Do you need a "point in time" copy of a PM's work log as at the time of the work order was generated? Or do you just need to see the list of work logs attached to the PM from the work order application? Is it a particular work log that you can somehow identify or all of them?

    If it's a particular work log and you need a point in time copy, you can create a relationship from PM to work log and then update the PM2WO crossover domain, adding a source with RELATIONSHIP.ATTRIBUTE syntax and the destination. (Note: RELATIONSHIP is the name of the relationship you make, and ATTRIBUTE is the attribute you want to copy from the child object in the relationship.)

    If you need a point in time copy of all of them, you're going to need an automation script to do the copying / crossing over.

    If you just want to see the work logs that are on the PM from within the work order application, you can use app designer to create a table in the UI and use MAINRECORD for the Parent Data Source and PM.WORKLOG for the Relationship to get from the work order to the PM and then from the PM to the work logs.

    Hi Jason,

    Sorry for the late response. I've been in a training class all week.

    What I think should happen is just a snapshot of the PM Work Log at the time the PM Work Order is generated and will show as an entry in the Work Order Work Log, if that makes sense.
