Hi All,

Is there a way we can use escalation to send an email to labour once they are assigned a workorder. I tried few things but didnt work out.

EMAIL and LABOR records are owned by a PERSON record. Your escalation must notify the PERSON that owns the LABOR.

In general, you would do something like

1. Decide which Object you are going to base your Escalation on. This will help with finding and creating the configuration items in the steps that follow. In your case, the Object will likely be WORKORDER, WPLABOR or ASSIGNMENT.
2. Use the Roles application to find or create a Role to be notified.
3. Use the Communication Templates application to update or create a Communication Template with the Role you found or created as a recipient. Make sure the Comm Template is ACTIVE.
4. Find or create an Escalation + Escalation Point with your Comm Template as a Notification.

Yes, you can do it using an escalation and communication template in the communication template you have to select the role where that role is configured in such a way that it pulls the labor information and then need to create escalation in the condition you can check weather work order having labor or not.

if it has labor, the escalation will run and just attach the communication template to the same escalation so that email also gets sent to labor once the escalation condition sets true.
