Hello all,

I was asked today if I can make it possible to add a Default GL Account to an inventory item.

Some Items are only for a specific account and will never change.

Would this be possible to add as an optional field?

Yes, but keep in mind that the GLACCOUNT will be assigned at the INVENTORY record, so it can be different on a per storeroom basis and you will need to:

• Expose the GLACCOUNT attribute / field in the inventory application (INVCOST.GLACCOUNT) in the Costs section
• Update the field for the inventory records of interest, for each storeroom the inventory record is in that you want the account to default

This is not something you can do at ITEM MASTER level and expect it to be available in inventory.
