PM generation depends on a variety of factors. But focusing just on the number of days in advance, there is a lead time (days) field (PM.LEADTIME) that is set on the PM to control the number of days in advance the PM will generate of when it is due. In the Organization application in the PM Options dialog, there is a "Generate WOs Due on the Current Date Plus This Number of Days" option to control how far out it goes for all PMs. These will help you control how far out in advance the PM is generated.
