Hi Everyone,
We're looking to understand the experience of other IBM Maximo/MAS users who have installed the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) application on Manage 9.1.
After installing HSE, have you experienced any of the following?
- Slower performance in core Maximo applications (Work Order, PM, Assets, Inventory, etc.)
- Increased page load times or application timeouts
- Database performance degradation
- Missing or inefficient indexes introduced after HSE installation
- SQL queries that became slower after the HSE deployment
- Need for index rebuilds, new indexes, or query optimization
- UpdateDB or ConfigDB performance issues
- Higher database CPU or I/O utilization
- Any other HSE-related performance issues
If you encountered performance problems, could you please share:
- MAS/Maximo version (e.g., MAS 9.1.x)
- Database platform (DB2)
- Approximate database size
- Which applications were most affected
- Root cause (if identified)
- Resolution (index changes, query tuning, IBM APAR/fix, configuration changes, etc.)
- Any IBM Support recommendations or best practices
We're particularly interested in understanding whether HSE introduces additional database overhead or requires database tuning after installation.
Any experiences, recommendations, or lessons learned would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
