  • 1.  Incorrect number of the argument(s). Has anyone dealt with this?

I'm getting a strange error when I try to run this report. Never saw it before in all my years of BIRT reporting in Maximo.
Has anyone ever dealt with this and found out the issue?
    Thanks in advance.
    The error states:
"Incorrect number of the argument(s). The number of the argument(s) should not be less than <3> or more than <6>, but it was <0>".
In this case, there are no arguments. the where clause is: 1=1.

Does it show any errors when you run it from the report designer? Sometimes Maximo logs are much clearer as to what is happening.

Are you by any chance using round/ substring/ date functions in the query?

The local log file shows the same error message.  My "solution" was to start over, build the logic into a new report, and the error went away.  I never found out what the problem was.  Something in the file got corrupted.

I can't say I've ever encountered that error, so that makes me think it's something really, really weird.  Just running through some simple troubleshooting questions:  Has this report ever worked, or is this a new report being created? HOW was the report made -- duplicating an existing report or made from scratch?  Was it made from one of the Maximo-BIRT templates?  Does the report have any parameters in it? Are all the datasets properly bound?  How many datasets are there?  Are there subreports, and are they properly connected to the main report?
