  • 1.  Incorrect WO record opening when clicked from Start Center Portlet and Constructed Maximo URL

    Hey All,

    I wanted to check if anyone experienced this issue and have a way to resolve this.

    When clicking a WO record from the Maximo start center result set portlet, it opens the WO Tracking application with a different WO record. After several testing, it looks like it is always opening the first record from the WORKORDER table.

    Upon further investigation and testing, it looks like the issue is not isolated to the start center result set portlet. Even if you construct a URL (no start center involved), it still opens the first record of the WORKORDER table and not the actual record from the URL (e.g. http://<hostname>/maximo?event=loadapp&value=plusgwo&uniqueid=xxxx OR http://<hostname>/maximo?event=loadapp&value=wotrack&uniqueid=xxxx)

    The strange thing is it only happens to new WO records. The described behavior above does not happen to the first 20 WO records that exist from the WORKORDER table. It also does not happen to start center portlets and URL (i.e. loadapp&value=quickrep OR loadapp&value=plusgqrp) for Quick Reporting which has the same main table (i.e. WORKORDER)

    Hi Fernando,

    Yes, we have had the same problem in a 7.6.1.2 environment. We received a fix from IBM that solved the issue. Raise a case at IBM support and refer to case TS008961305.

    I'm pretty sure you're seeing APAR IJ43406 (https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/apar/IJ43406). I'm not seeing a fix yet for this. I think this is something @Phil Runion reported. Phil, is there a workaround you found for this?

    @Steven Shull is correct we have encountered this one. We got an LA Fix to address this issue like @Stefan Nyholm mentioned. I have included the Projetech case number and the resulting APAR below if you want to reference them in addition to the ones already provided.
