Hello MORE Maximo Community,

I would like a message to display in different languages depending upon the person.language selected in the Person record.  Is there a way to define this natively in Messages in Database Configuration or would it need to be defined in the Automation Script?  Thank you in advance.

Once a language pack is loaded, you need to change your user preferences to that language.  Then login again and navigate to database configuration / messages.  Now change the text from the base language into the new language, upon save, Maximo will store the text into the l_messages table for that respective message/language (ownerid = maxmessageid).  The same is true for field labels in Application Designer.  I think this is very difficult to do through the UI for an administrator that doesn't know the language.
