Hello everyone,

I am running into a user-specific error with custom application redirection in Maximo 7.6.1.2.3 and would appreciate any guidance.

The Issue: One of our users is unable to navigate to a custom application via the redirection link in their Start Center Inbox/Assignments portlet.

Context:

• We are on Maximo version 7.6.1.2.3.

• Other users can successfully use the exact same redirection path.

• The issue is entirely isolated to this one specific user account.

What I am looking for: Could anyone advise on what might be causing this? I am looking for suggestions on which configurations (such as Security Groups, profile settings, or portlet setups) I should verify first.

If you have confirmed that the user is a member of the security group and have also confirmed that users in the same security group are not encountering a similar issues. Assist the Maximo user through the UI's Update Start Center Button in the screenshot below. The action should resolve the issue by resetting their start center. 


I've included a Start Center configuration query attachment to use to validate user specific Favorite Applications driven by Maximo's Application Authorization rules. Ensure the affected user's security profile matches the security profiles of other group members. If issue persist, clearing the user's browser cache should resolve the issue.

Thank you for your response. We evaluated the solution you suggested; however, the issue turned out to be related to a workflow configuration.

The workflow was generating links to the native work order application rather than the custom one. Because access to the native application is restricted by our security groups, users were blocked from opening the link. We have updated the workflow to direct users to the custom application, and the issue is now resolved.
