Hi Nasr,

I might need more information here. To close a PR, you must convert the PR Lines completely to a PO(s). In my own demo data environment I looked at PR 1009, I also was unable to move it to 'CLOSE' after approval. However, I selected the 'create PO' More action. Once the PO was created with the PR lines associated to it, the PR automatically moved to CLOSE.

Hi Nasr,

I apologize - in the case of a MR it gets put into CLOSE after the items are issues using inventory usage. I created a Inventory Usage records, as an ISSUED type, grabbed my reserved items and completed the Inventory Usage. Once all my Item Inventory was issued - the MR moved to CLOSE.

Hi Nazir,

The MR is a self-service record, and, in this case, as the requester cannot close it. It's either the case of you cancelling it or reversing the status.  Why can't you close?  The act of closing is an indication that the MR you have placed has now been fulfilled, which is not something you do as the requester.

Just remember that there are two paths for the MR lines to go:

1. As an inventory reservation
2. As a PR/PO

The path will depend on what the item is and where you are charging it.  This is because when the MR is submitted and approved, the reorder routing is run across the order.  Any materials will end up on a PR/PO depending on what you have set your system to use.  The MR will only close when either the item is receipted on the PO or issued from the storeroom and all items have been acted upon.
