Summary: Sharptree presented a brand new solution to simplify Maximo interactions through Outlook. They were excited to introduce a solution to securely interact with Maximo workflow actions directly from your Outlook inbox. Each action is authenticated by Microsoft and can only be performed by the direct recipient of the workflow assignment. The solution enables complex templating to conditionally display parts of the message and iterate over child records, so you can include a work order and its task or a purchase order and its lines. You can show special text for emergency work orders or urgent purchase orders. All of this is provided without the need for custom Java, just standard automation scripts.
