It's difficult to give you a guide when I don't really know what you need to do.
But I suggest you review the TICKET / WO apps theirs related record design to understand how it works. You've seen that if you're in a ticket (SR, INCIDENT, PROBLEM) and you review the related records, the associated tickets are seen in one part and the WO in another and the relationships to both are different. That's why I tell you that it's not possible to give you a guide without knowing what you want to do.
When I need to do something, I always look at Maximo examples and try to use those designs to do my own.
