  • 1.  PARENT WORK ORDER CLOSES CHILD WORK ORDER AUTOMATICALLY

    Posted 12-13-2023 09:02

    Hello all,

I set up child PMs when linking equipment at the same location together, but when the technician completes the parent WO, the child automatically completes even though the technician has not performed it yet.

    Is this normal?

Is there a setting I could change so that this does not happen?

    Thank you in advance.

On the pm, there is a checkbox for inheriting the status changes

This regulates what appears on the work order, in the corresponding field

For work orders that were already generated from the PM with the checkbox on, it seems the PARENTCHGSSTATUS field is not in the UI. We need to update the parentchgstatus field to 0 for the child work orders to make it behave as if the PM checkbox for inherit status change was turned off?
