Hello all,

I was curious if it is possible to change the initial status of work orders created in Quick Reporting to WAPPR or APPR instead of INPROG?  Perhaps through the organization settings?

Out-of-the-box, I'll vote 'no' it can't be done.  It would defeat the point of the Quick Reporting application relative to regular-ol' Work Order Tracking.  I'm certain there's a fairly easy script that could be written to change it from INPRG to APPR, or even INPRG to APPR to WAPPR if that's what you want.  But if you want it to start as WAPPR, maybe just use Work Order Tracking (or a clone thereof).

Hi Danny,

It can be done via an Automation Script, but the WAPPR status change occurs after saving the record. However, while it CAN be done, you should decide WHY it should be done.

Hi Danny,

While the are solutions simply changes the status from INPRG to WAPPR or APPR, what we want to understand is why there is a need to override the design of Quick Reporting.

Quick Reporting is designed to quickly raise a work order for work that is already taking place without any chance of planning i.e. you are reporting on an emergency, or for all work orders to quickly complete any work order as most things you need are on one tab,
