  • 1.  Search SRs for asset listed under Multiple Assets section.

    Is there a way to enable searching on Multiple Assets section in SR application from the List tab?

    For e.g. if I have asset 12345 listed on SR00001 and SR00002 under the Multiple asset section.  I would like to use the "Advanced Search" to find all SR's which have asset 12345 listed and it should return SR00001 and SR00002 as a result.

    I know this is achievable using the 'where clause' but I am looking to utilize the 'Advanced Search' somehow. Any insights would be appreciated.

    Assuming this is the desired result:


    The main thing is in the properties of the control, the attribute needs to be the ALLMULTIASSETLOCCI.ASSETNUM. So:

    I would suggest the same thing, but I would note that the results may not show the asset you filtered for. All the results will have that asset, but the asset that ends up being shown will be the first one brought back by the relationship, which may not be the one you searched for. This can make the results look "odd", but it does work properly.

    Hi Megha,

    Your initial note is a bit confusing.  You asked if there is a way to search for Multiple Asset from the List tab but then you said would like to use the "Advanced Search".

    The "More Search Fields" option under the "Advanced Search" already does exactly what you're requesting for both Assets and Locations because the AssetNum and Location fields on that dialog are already using the ALLMULTIASSETLOCCI out-of-the-box.

    You should not change the List itself because, as stated by Jason, that could cause the List to show an Asset (and/or Location) other than the primary ones entered on the SR itself.
