Hi Maximo Open Forum,

What is one of the best ways to message all or certain users in your Maximo system? Some like to say it is Maximo's Bulletin Board feature.

This feature typically either is widely used by an organization, or not at all. The Bulletin Board feature can be accessed from the icon in the top toolbar and is available in both Maximo 7.6 and Maximo Application Suite.

A simple use case:

You need to notify all users about something important
- System downtime
- Process changes
- Data issues

Instead of sending emails or messages outside of Maximo, you can post it directly in the system where users are already working. When a message is active, users can open the Bulletin Board and see the update.

Bulletin Board messages are created and controlled by users who are granted permissions via security groups, in the Bulletin Board app, you can adjust:
- Messages can be set with start and end dates
- Messages can be targeted to specific users or groups
- Messages are automatically removed when they expire
