Maximo Open Forum

I'm attempting to add a new location in Maximo, but I can't figure out how to add an owning department. Pictures attached for reference.

It looks like you need to go into the domains application to add your new department value. 

Start in your test / dev or similar version to make sure this works before doing the same in production: 

Click on the field first, and then use Alt+F1 to find the field name. 

Go to Database Configuration and look up the field for the object based on the above result. 

Confirm the 'Domain' that you want to edit 

Navigate to the Domains application, filter for the Domain that was identified, and add your value and description there

Make sure it shows up in the application and is selectable
