  • 1.  What happens when you cancel a PM Work Order

    I have a PM and a work order was canceled by someone.   Another PM was not generated and the performance was missed.  Is this normal?

    I read that the frequency is broken when a work order is canceled.  I also read that it gets reinstated.

    I've never canceled one before so don't know what I should look out for.

    Does anyone have an answer?

    Are there more than 1 PM Work Orders that got canceled? Generally, it should not be an issue in reverting the due dates when done individually. May be this has happened and you might need a fix as per given APAR.

    For now, you can generate WO manually with ignoring the frequency for the PM to happen and the adjust the next due date from Frequency tab to date when work order should generate next as per original schedule.

    Thank you Prashant for your reply.
    Only 1 PM work order was cancelled.
    No subsequent PM work orders were generated. It was cancelled to work corrective work orders on the same asset. However I believe this is unrelated.
