I'm working on a copy of the Create Service Request app, and I'd like to use a table as input for equipment assets, like so:

(The user can search for/enter an asset number, asset tag, serial number or description to find and select an equipment Asset. They can also choose the Room tab to select a Location instead.)
So far, the table is its own data source based on ASSET, filtered for the operational equipment assets. What I'm stuck on is getting the SR assetnum attribute to sync with the table. I used the Linked Control ID, but it either doesn't work the way I expect, or I don't know what else needs to be configured. Suggestions?
(Yes, I know the Detail Menu gives the user access to a select list and the drilldown. Those are not the desired solutions, unfortunately. I will also be figuring out how to suppress or automatically answer the "change location" and "change GL" dialogs.)
Thanks everyone.
