We are creating assets in Maximo using the REST API from an external system. As part of the payload, we are passing the asset template ID (ASSET.TEMPLATEID) so it gets stored in the ASSET table.
However, even though the TEMPLATEID is being populated, the system is not copying any related data from the asset template—such as spare parts, specifications, or PMs.
Is there a supported way to have Maximo automatically apply the asset template (including all associated data) when creating an asset via API ?
Or is additional configuration, automation scripting, or a different API required to achieve this?
